Turning Point of America

A revolutionary idea and plan

Turning Point of America Investment Trust in Cleveland County, NC

Turning Point of America (TPA) is a vast, scheduled, group of non-profits famed for their show, "Crosswalk" that has run for ten years, featuring eight, very diverse churches, on six city blocks in downtown Kings Mountain.  It will work with the ARWLHC as tourism escalates in the two Carolina's - as the third largest industry in the region, and third largest in NC (Agriculture is #1 and the Military is #2).  At present, the newly proposed Colonel Hambright Inn (the expansion of The Inn of the Patriots), the present gift shops going to a 10,000 square foot shop complete with cooking tools and housewares is in the investment stage.  It's proposal with film made for investors is here.  We also have been accepted, in the past, for our presentations as an ABC TV Shark Tank contestant.  An investors presentation video is below featuring our CFO/CMO Martin CJ Mongiello, MBA and HR Director, Stormy L. Mongiello, PHR.

We are also actively working with:

  • An investment group out of state to expand to a hotel in Nashville, TN
  • An investment group to expand our hotel into Washington, DC
  • Each unit is scheduled to work with one another in a system of reciprocal based themed lodging.  Each features differing museums and specialty draws presently of a confidential nature (NDA's with each group).

The US military tops a recent poll conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life that asked Americans which vocations and occupations contribute "a lot to society's well-being."  These results are consistent for the past 50 years with similar polls of Americans being questioned.

  1. Military 78%
  2. Teachers 72 %
  3. Physicians 66%
  4. Scientists 65%
  5. Engineers 63%
  6. Clergy 37%
  7. Artists 30%
  8. Journalists 28%
  9. Business Executives 24%
  10. Lawyers 18%

Our team is not interested in investors providing any salaries.  With bookings for lodging so strong, we are fully capable of making our own money.  We hold this to be a critical and fundamental piece of our package.

"Mr. Mongiello, The article in The Shelby Star regarding your efforts to get Cleveland County designated as a National Heritage Area was very interesting. Thank you for your efforts in securing that honor, which will be a great tourist attraction and bring in needed money to our area."

Adelaide Austell Craver ~ President ~ First National Bank

"Marti: I hope everything is coming along well for you and the project. I am very impressed with your hard work so far. I think your generous donations of meals at the YMCA auction fetched some good bids and money raised for the YMCA last night."

Tim Moore, Attorney at Law

"Thanks for your kind comments (regarding helping to fix North Carolina State Historical Marker O-13 with the ARWLHC). Michael Hill does an excellent job. And Secretary Carlisle would agree with your assessment of the importance of heritage tourism."

Jeffrey J. Crow, Ph.D., Deputy Secretary of Archives and History
North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources

"If you aren't willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary."
